Technical Session Topics

The Technical Session Committee invites you to submit abstracts for presentations or papers to be presented at the conference.  The primary categories are as follows:

 

Thematic Mapping, Spatial Analysis & Modeling
The greatest power of GIS is realized through spatial analysis.  One of the best ways to take advantage of this principal benefit of GIS is seeing examples of the successful use of GIS for analysis.  Some topics to consider include:
Public and Environmental Health Agriculture and Forest Management
Transportation Modeling and Corridor Analysis Landform and Digital Terrain Modeling
Spatial Analysis of Human and Other Services Public Lands Acquisition and Habitat Management
Fire Management Crime Analysis
Vegetation and Plant Community Mapping and Analysis Environmentally Sensitive Features Mapping and Analysis
Ecological Restoration and Analysis Census Data and Demographic Analysis
Modeling for Urban and Regional Planning Weather and Climate Studies
Surface and Groundwater Quality Modeling Modeling with Multivariate Geostatistics
Landcover/Landuse Mapping and Analysis Hydrologic Studies
