Poster Session Submission
Poster Submission Deadline is extended to October 31

• Poster size limited to a 48”x60 dimensions. Please nothing larger than this.
• Participants may submit up to two posters as an individual and an additional poster as part of a team.
• There is no additional charge for submitting a poster. The Poster Committee will make every attempt to accommodate as many posters as possible; however, we reserve the right to limit the number of posters displayed as the available space is filled.
To submit a poster or map, follow the link below and simply specify a category, supply a title, and provide a short description. A picture is worth a thousand words, so keep your title succinct!
• Important note: all entries should contain minimum cartographic elements used for presentation of spatial data as appropriate. These may include but are not limited to: north arrow, legend, scale bar, units of measure, map projection etc.
• Provisions for display of posters will include a poster board hung from the Civic Center’s standard hanging curtain backdrop. The mounting boards provided will be 48” x 60,” and may be hung in portrait or landscape orientation. Please specify the correct orientation when submitting the entry and stay within the dimensions.
• Posters will need to be affixed directly to the poster board by the submitters NO LATER THAN THE END OF THE FIRST DAY of the conference.
Posters are attached to the poster board by means of self adhesive Velcro (this method helps to minimize damage on to your poster and guarantees it would not fall off from the wall during the show) this material will be available the first day to all participants to attach posters to the mounting board. Please construct your posters with this in mind.
Poster participants are also encouraged to bring copies of supplemental materials such as handouts where appropriate for Workshop participants to take. However be aware that limited space is available for handouts and additional display materials and no display material will be provided for this.
Please note that while October 31, 2007 is the final deadline for submittal, earlier submissions are encouraged so they may be published in the Workshop program. Submissions received by August 31,
2007 may be listed on a separate insert.
Poster presenters are responsible for retrieving their posters.
Dismantling will begin on the last day of the conference at 2:30 p.m. (SHRUG is not responsible for anything left in the poster session area once it has closed).
